Machine - Charity

Singer Outlet are proud to be a business partner and supporter of DENS, a charity local to our head office in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire.

DENS houses, supports and empowers vulnerable single homeless people, and others in crisis, to transform their lives. Find out more at dens.org.uk.

Singer are always keen to help out worthy charitable causes where they can, especially those that use sewing as part of rehabilitation, therapy or to teach a new life skill.

Singer were delighted, for example, to support the Nanyuki Childrens Charitable Trust with machines for its project in Kenya training young street mothers on tailoring, with the hope that they will go on to set up their own business in an effort to support themselves and their young families. We have also recently supported the Salvation Army in Sacriston, near Durham with machines for a new class set up to teach basic sewing skills to anyone in the local community who wants to learn.

Under Singer's social responsibility programme, Singer Giving, Singer have made a commitment to donating up to 50 Singer machines per year to charities supporting worthy causes in the UK and elsewhere.

Applications for machines will be considered on an individual basis. If you are interested in this, please contact us in the first instance by email to info@singerco.co.uk, giving as much detail as you can about the charity, the project for which you require machines and how many machines you are requesting.

Please note: Requests for financial support or requests for machines to be used as prizes will not be considered under the Singer Giving scheme.
