Sorry, the scissors were a Christmas present for my Grand daughter and they are still in their wrapping paper as they were not allowed to visit. We are in different covid zones.

This magnifying lamp is very handy at this time of the year, it appears to be fairly sturdy and provides very good coverage whilst sewing. The price is also very reasonable.
I ordered some dressmaking scissors, which arrived very quickly and were of good quality.

Amazing that is how poor your customer service is.
(Not the ladies/ autobots online they're fine, useful even) I bought & paid for this machine lunchtime 19th November. I chased up delivery mid-December & was assured pre-Christmas delivery. Today is the 18th January and still no machine.
To begin with Singer pushed me to DPD but I'm your customer not theirs.
Now someone at Outlet Group took two minutes to acknowledge me last week I have a vague inkling something is happening. But what I don't know AND what I'd actually like is a white 5523 delivered as soon as possible to give my partner for Christmas, now 4weeks ago, before her birthday next month!!

I received my machine on the 23rd of December abs have to say very happy so far. I have look online for tutorials on different thing the machine can do as the instructions with machine are very basic

Brought for my wife. She says it's a great starter machine and does everything she wants.
This machine can not be faulted. It is the papery bag and sub par instructions that have led Singer down. They have no business charging £300+ for a machine and providing a bag that looks more flimsy than rice paper. It is cheap. The instructions also say very little about cleaning and oiling the machine. Having said this, the machine itself is great. I am just glad we are experienced sewers and know what to do and how to maintain it

I bought this Singer Confidence because I gave my older Singer Confidence to my daughter and nothing persuaded me to change to another make. I looked around but this model does everything I want and has proved itself with 5 years of solid, reliable sewing, so I went for it again. I had my first singer from Mum when she bought a newer model, since then have had 3 machines, all just right for me at the times I had them. That’s why I say it’s a habit and it’s not one I can see myself breaking!
These cottons were present and my granddaughter loved them I was very pleased with the assortment of colours would certainly recommend
First time using an embroidery machine. Its easy to thread follow instructions. Good sturdy machine
This bag is just what I was looking for and works really well. I was a little disappointed to find that the same make is available for much less in other shops though.
Having been brought up on a 1952 Singer with huge sentimental value, any new machine would have a hard time impressing. However, this lightweight machine is very simple to use and has a nice variety of stitches, which is what I was after. The convenient mod cons: a light, a reverse stitch function are 2 important additions. I haven't tried the buttonhole/zip functions yet. However, in comparison, it doesn't feel as solid or sturdy and it mangled up some jersey layers I was securing to cotton lining material. I had to take the machine to pieces and cut off the stitching that had got wedged under the plate. My old machine in comparison is very steady. Still, early days. Overall, very happy and will use both as the mood & need arises!
Sewing machine fits in bag as does lead and foot pedal . So much better and safer to carry now. Also bag looks very nice when on show ! Light so much better to sew with , husband may use it for lots of other jobs!
